They (the infamous ‘they’) have decided to keep my dad in the hospital on a morphine drip because his back and legs were hurting so much. They plan to do an MRI tomorrow. I think that’s all I know at the moment. Mom is coming home tonight to sleep, and will obviously be back up there tomorrow as soon as Dad will let her come. ;) He doesn’t have a room number yet, so obviously no number to call… which I think he’s thankful for. He hates talking on the phone.

I got my prescription filled. $40 for the generic. 6 pills total. Whee. Well, at least I’m going to get better, now, right?

I’m putting on my ‘professional photographer’ hat tomorrow. Maybe I’ll post a couple photos after I get back. But, at this rate, I’ll be more than ready for a nap before I get anything posted here. Tom isn’t going to attend. With his cathetor issues coming and going, he’s not willing to risk being in a public place yet. Which, I understand. I wish he’d feel comfortable going. To the church. (Not as in the other form of ‘going’…. nevermind.)

I’m feeling a little spacey. And, I’m finding myself very entertaining. I think its the medication. I’ll stop typing, so as to stop you from having to read what I find very funny.

Hm. Yeah.

Oh yeah, Angie knows how to glue on a rear view mirror, now. So, send any rear view mirror work her way. She works for cheap. (Ha! See – I do think I’m funny.)

I’ve slept, and slept s’more. So much that I’ve not gone to fill my antibiotics (bad girl, I know). Thank goodness my ear does not cause me constant pain, but it definately makes the world spin when going from a standing to laying position (or the opposite) or any sudden head movements.

I did manage to watch The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy with Tom last night. Its entertaining, but definately one that you have to watch again. Therefore, we went to watch it again tonight, and… I fell asleep. Oops.

Angie found the game online. More proof of how much movie verses book differs. I’m a little confused, due to just seeing the movie. Angie (who got the book for Christmas) is a little better off, but has only read to chapter four. So, we’re working together.

Ode to having an ear ache. How grand it is to sit and wait. Hours upon hours in the ER, watching time tick by. Wishing for the luxery of insurance in this rich mans world. Oh! There’s the doctor now! 3 minutes and he’s gone. Prescription that will cost more than I really want to pay. And four more monthly payments to get rid of another hospital bill. All for a little liquid in my middle ear…

I’ve taken my Christmas money and decided to invest in some computer toys. Since I’ve decided I like to play with my photo shop, I’ve ordered a tablet. And, I also chose to purchase a web cam.

Why, you ask? I don’t know.

New ways to entertain me for a while, I suppose. I also decided not to invest a lot of money into either until I decide for sure that they’re worth investing in. I mean, why buy a $200 tablet if I decide that I don’t like it or its not worth the trouble? Right? Right.

And, its over. (Christmas that is.) It always amazes me how much preparation we put into the holiday season for it to be over in 24 hours.

I hope everyone was thrilled with their day, and got some cool gifts from loved ones. I know I did. And Tom did too!

My Picture Trail account has requested me to either subscribe for a year, or cut me back to 36 pictures total. I don’t think I’ll put any money into it yet. So if there are some pictures there that you would like to snag for your computer, you’d better get to it. Of course, I have them all saved on my computer. If you don’t get around to grabbing the ones you want, let me know and I’ll email them to you.

I was being clever yesterday (which is never good), and was organizing my pictures on my computer. I accidentally removed them all from my Picasa (the program that lets me stick photos on this blog easily). Again, all the pictures are still on my computer, but its frustrating to have to put them all back into that program. *sigh* That’s what I get for trying to organize stuff.

We went to Tom’s dad’s tonight (per tradition) for Christmas. I’d love to post some pictures, because there were many moments worth sharing… But, *sigh* my last set of batteries died three pictures in. I have rechargables, which I suppose I will charge again, but they’re old and not holding power long at all. I guess I’ll stop by QT on the way into town tomorrow. I think I should own stock in some AA battery company.

Tom’s dad and step mom loved their present (I was going to link that to a picture of the outdoor fireplace that Tom and his sisters purchased together – but it would seem it is now out of stock). In fact, they were just talking about getting one about a week and a half ago! Amazing. We had no idea…

Tomorrow, my folks and sister will stop by late morning. Then, we to go to Tom’s mom’s family function in the afternoon. I think the rest of the evening is clear.

Tom and I have also decided to send out New Years cards. I think they’ll be great. They probably won’t be recieved until a week into January, though. :D

Our friends went to the Virgin Islands for Christmas. There’s a web cam that we’re supposed to check out around noon tomorrow so they can wish everyone a Merry Christmas. Its pretty cool. When they first arrived there, they called us and told us to look at the camera online. There they were – on the phone, talking to us, in the Virgin Islands.
