* This is not a picture of my actual ear, cuz I’m not that motivated. Besides, you can’t see the swelling anyhow. I hate my ears – only because I don’t have insurance.

* I should be getting my car inspected and licensed today, but I just don’t have the motivation to get out of the house yet. I’m blaming it on my ear, although I don’t think I would be motivated even if my ear didn’t hurt.

* I wonder if I should wait out the pain to see if it improves, or head in to the ER today.

* I have no idea what happened to my ear to cause this situation. No swimming. No long showers. (No known water in the ear, is what I’m getting at here.) There is a little swelling behind the ear also, but its not very tender or anything.

* Did I mention that is SUCKS to not have insurance. Kthxbi.

Maybe a spider crawled in there and you have spider babies growing in your ear!! Ewww. Okay, so I doubt that but felt the need to scare ya with it. Since we’ve been too nice to each other lately, had to fix that too.

I hate ear things. I just had to take a round of antibiotics to keep my ear from exploding. Will a cold compress ease the swelling?

    I didn’t think about a cold compress…

Tom’s Home Health nurse visited him today. I asked for free advice. She suggested Tylenol for the anti-inflamatory aspect and using Tom’s oral antibiotics that the doc discontinued on him.

The Tylenol is already helping the swelling. I’ve not started the antibiotic yet.

I’m sorry. no it wasn’t that scary, and I’m not mad at you. oh I have some Nasacort nasal spray, I don’t know what it does but I got lots because the nurse gave me samples when I saw the ENT. or use a nasal bulb and flash out your nose…. yeah thats what they told me lol hope it feels better, i understand the pain

The antibiotics will probably help, the ear canal is probably just irritated. Although, after all the things people have been finding thier ears, keep a close eye on it.
