My computer is still very much broken.  Its not even attempting to turn on… so, I’m hoping its only the power source that is busted.  Even though, is it worth it for me to spend the money on getting such an old computer fixed?  (By old, I mean 10 years or so…) 

Thankfully, Tom had gotten me an external hard drive for my birthday in August.  At the time I thought it was a foolish purchase, but stuck all my photos, music and family tree stuff on there.  Thank God!  Cuz, otherwise, (depending on the cost of fixing my computer), it might of all been stuck in my broken computer forever.

Anyways – I’ve been a knitting fool since there’s only one computer to play with.  I’ve knitted 6 purses so far!!  I don’t know what I need with 6 purses… but, whatever.

I’m still looking for someone to volunteer their perfectly good but not needed computer tower to me to permanently borrow…  it hasn’t happened.  :cry: 

My computer is broken.  I don’t know when I’ll be online for any real amount of time…  So, if you really need me, you might leave a comment on Tom’s blog.  Otherwise, uh, yeah.  Its dead.

So, I charged a little less than two hundred dollars today on my credit card for the service man who came and looked at my furnace.

It turns out that the morons who owned this house before me have come back to bite me in the butt again.  See, when they wired the thermostat, they used different one different colored wire.  Instead of the wire being green, it was black.

So, after the bathroom remodel, when we went to hook back up the thermostat, we matched the black wire to the black connector.

No, no, nooooo.  By doing this, the blower motor stays on 24 hours a day, unless you manually flip the switch.  Obviously, we didn’t realize this.  Otherwise, I could of fixed the problem.  Tom’s dad even came out and looked at it all!

Right.  So, literally, the dude comes out, looks at the furnace, looks at the thermostat and said the wiring was messed up.  Then proceeded to unconnect the black wire, put it on the green connector and *presto* problem solved.

$183.00 for this folks.

$79.00 for the analysis of the problem.

$99.00 to connect the wire to the correct terminal.

Right.

I will totally come over to someone’s house and connect a wire for $99.  Any takers?

I’m feeling a little sad over the whole GSE2007.

I’ve only been able to find four people to sign up under me. (I’m still looking, I’m still looking!) Which means that my prospects for getting cool socks has dropped dramatically. Especially since my four people are struggling to find any takers on the GSE2007.

See, my peoples peoples are the ones I get my socks from.

At this rate, I think I might be lucky to get 7 pair of socks out of the deal.

See how this makes me sad?
