in my side bar.

Waaay down there.

Interesting. I swear its a numbered list…

Its just not showing up that way in this layout.

Deal with it.

Edited to add:  Uh, you’re looking at my site ‘anonymously‘?  Seriously?  Get over yourself.

I might be done with my Christmas shopping.

I say ‘might’ because if Amazon flakes out on me again, I’ll be rushing around like a chicken with their head cut off to get new presents purchased and mailed out for my family in Canada.  With any luck, if that occurs, my brother’s family might receive their presents before Valentine’s Day.

Lets all cross our fingers that Amazon pulls through for me and we don’t have to stress out, k?

I’m also nervous about another group of presents that I ordered from another business.  They have a habit of having items back ordered, and not telling you about it for some time.  In fact, I think I’ll go check into those items right this second.

Oh, and I’ll need to get something for Tom.  I think.  I don’t know if we’re going to exchange presents this year or not.  Really, our checkbooks say we shouldn’t.

I’ve yet to put up the Christmas tree.  I need wrapping paper.  I’m just not feeling it.

I am slightly aggravated with the whole Coke Rewards Points thing.  They do have some really great offers through their site that I strive to accumulate enough points to redeem… but as soon as I get enough points, the item I want is out of stock.  I am an impatient person by nature.  I’m trying to convince myself to hold on and wait for something else cool.  If there were a lot of the lesser valued items that I wanted, waiting would be a lot harder.

I’m trying the tantowel samples that RisibleGirl sent me.  I tried one the other night on my arms and collar bone area, and didn’t notice a change in color.  I wonder if I’m so white that it’ll take 398329 towelettes to make a change, hence the reason for the reapply today.  Lets all cross our fingers that there will be some positive change this time… this would definitely be the more cost effective way for me to be tan at Elizabeth’s wedding.

I have had nearly nothing but football on my television since the day before Thanksgiving, and I’m close to going crazy.  I’ve been attempting to keep my sanity by staying on the computer and ignoring the television as much as possible since Tom has no choice but to stay indoors since its so cold outside.  I’ve only mentioned my failing sanity once or twice to Tom since the ‘marathon’ has started.

I wanted to order some contacts online but realized that it cost nearly the same for my toric lens online as it would to order them from the eye doctor.  Therefore, if I were to get new contacts, I really should just go to the eye doctor since its been… oh, since Tom’s accident, since my eyes have been checked.  I really don’t have the money for all that.  So, whatever.

Have you been to my other sites?

There will be a quiz regarding their content…

(that would be fun, in my opinion.)

(well, only if there were a kick butt prize involved.)

(but there’s not.)

(anyway…)

Go check them out.

What the…?!

Just Sayin’

So, today I ran to the grocery store like every other psycho crazy person that needed to grab something before Thanksgiving and wanted to get there and back before the stupid first snow of the year season started….

(Happy, Blue?)

I really love the general population on a whole. Honestly.

No, I’m not bitter about it being snowy. What gave you that impression?

Anyway – I make it to the grocery store without any craziness. I park my car with no problems. I walk nearly all the way to the door with no issues.

But, as I’m walking to the door, I see a mother of 3 children and I nearly want to tackle her.

Why, you ask?

Lets do this in a list form, k?

  • The newborn she is carrying has no hat on.
  • The newborn she is carrying has no real blanket on.
  • The approximately 6 year old child is not wearing a coat.
  • The 6 year old child is not even wearing warm clothes.
  • The approximately 2 year old child is not wearing a coat.
  • The 2 year old child is not even wearing warm clothes.
  • The 2 year old child is more memorized by the cold mist that is wetting her hair than getting out of the parking lot.
  • The mother does not even turn back to check on the 2 year old while walking through the parking lot.
  • The mother does not even notice that the 2 year old is so distracted that she has stopped walking – in the middle of the parking lot!!
  • The mother makes it all the way into the grocery store with the newborn and 6 year old before finally turning back to find the 2 year old outside IN THE PARKING LOT!!

Several shoppers and I watched in shock as this all occurred. At least we were observant enough to know to whom the child belonged with… but there was ample time for that child to be taken.

Taken as in kidnapped. Gone.

I really wanted to smack this mother.

I could tell from the whole families appearance that this was not a poor family. I’m fairly certain that these children had coats somewhere. But, thats not even what bothered me most, obviously, about the ordeal.

Why?! Why, oh why would you NOT hold your 2 year old’s hand in a PARKING LOT?! I mean, a busy holiday traffic parking lot?! Why would you allow the opportunity of your child getting run over or kidnapped because you didn’t hold their hand?

I’m astonished. I’m baffled.

I had a strange dream last night.  Basically, anyone and everyone that I ever offered my guest room all showed up on my doorstep unannounced and told me they were staying for the holidays.  During all these people showing up, I was back in my guest bedroom room trying to clean off the bed and empty the closet, but kept getting caught up in exploring what was in each box and package… I was completely stressing out in the dream, but couldn’t help but look at the trinkets in the newly opened box and admire them.

Of course, I woke up with the dream unresolved.  Tom needed coffee.

Anyone know what the dream means?
