Lord Help Me

December 28th, 2007

I can already see my newest addiction coming into light. This isn’t good… not good at all, I tell you.

Ebay is the devil.

Yet, Ebay is not the addiction I speak of.

No, no. My newest possible addiction would be precut fabric squares.

Look!

These could be Christmas presents next year! Or birthday presents! Heck, I could even assemble them and sell them on Ebay.

Not a bad idea, huh?

Of course, that means that I would actually have to learn how to do the ‘quilting’ part of the whole shabang. And, of course, there are some other vital steps in there that I should learn.

But, I’ve got time, right?!

PS - Let me quickly mention that I have not even come close to bidding $3.00 on these precut fabric squares.  Therefore, with shipping included (if I were to win), I wouldn’t pay over $5.00 for the lot.  Which, in my uneducated-about-fabric mind, sounds like a good buy to me.

Actually, the amount of fabric isn’t that much and many of those patterns are the extra-cheap ones at Wal*Mart or anywhere else they sell fabrics. Wal*Mart has a section of fabrics for $1-$3 a yard and some cute patterns.

It might be a good deal to get them though to see if you like doing that sort of piecing on your machine. But ultimately it would be cheaper to buy the fabric at the fabric store and buy a rotary cutter and mat for your very own. I mean, if you like it that much. You’ll still want to eventually get a cutter and mat because I can’t imagine cutting and sewing anything without one…scissors? BAH. As if.

Martha Stewart did a cute blankie out of used men’s blazers but you could make it out of anything including those squares. :)
