So, this weekend is Mother’s Day.  And, since most husbands and children really don’t have the vaguest idea of what kind of present to get for woman in their lives, this is one of the busiest weekends where I work.  So, technically, I should be there right now helping alleviate chaos instead of messing around with this post.  But, eh, whatever.  I’ll get there in a little while.

Monday I’m putting on my photographer hat again.  I’ll be taking some photos of my … follow this … best friend’s husband’s little sister.  She’s a DJ at a local radio station and is wanting some portraits of her to add to her portfolio.  Sounds impressive, yes?  I thought so.  She and I have spent some time together during the whole wedding process, so we’re not complete strangers.  At the same time, I am slowly stepping out of my bubble… I mean, these aren’t photos of my best friend or my sister (which are my normal subjects).  We’re also going to a different location than I normally use, which will be a nice change of pace.  Here’s hoping that the weather is cool and overcast on Monday, making for a wonderful picture day.

My cousin Heather is making a round trip from Oklahoma next Saturday.  She’s picking up a dresser of my grandma’s from my aunt’s house.  I think the plan is for her to stop by here on her way back out of town that evening.  I’d love to be able to get all my ducks in a row and make my way down there for a week this summer.  I’ll have to keep playing with the calendar to see if that can happen without too much stress.  With my luck, once I finally figure out which week would work best for me, everyone I know in Oklahoma would be out of town that week!

And, lastly, this template design is driving me insane.  I used a generator to create it, which gives you several selections on many different things.  Yet, at the same time, it gives you no choices on the things that bother me the most.  Go figure.  And, Wordpress templates make my brain hurt, otherwise I would attempt to tackle it on my own.
