Virgil, Gertie and Wyatt

I haven’t had a trick or treater in years. Seriously. Before we moved here, three years ago, we lived down a long long driveway that no one bothered to travel down. Before that, I lived in a studio apartment on my hometown’s main street. No one even knew there were studios there to live in – hence no trick or treaters. And, before that, I lived in an apartment complex where my roommates handed out the candy… So, I’d be willing to say I’ve not had any trick or treaters since I lived in my parents house, which was… 1997? I think?
Anyhow, imagine how I felt when someone knocked on my door tonight. I was a little excited, but mostly shocked.
And, of course I had to take pictures of my first trick or treaters! Policeman Virgil, Batman Wyatt and Yoda Gertie!!
Those two great danes are huge wimpy puppies!
But, Gertie, she’s the boss, by golly.

Did you have doggie treats on hand to give out? Those types of TorTer’s are notorious for sneaking back with flaming bags of poo!
I didn’t have any doggy treats, sadly! Tom and I don’t have any dogs, and I didn’t know we’d be visited by the four legged kind of ‘kids’ tonight… I gave the owners some Reeses candies, though.
I know… I haven’t commented in years- but I do read all of your posts (does that count?)
I decided that today I’d comment on ALL of my blog friends blogs. So far, so good.
We don’t get trick-or-treaters either, so BJ and I ate candy and cleared the TiVo last night. Perfect Halloween, if you ask me.
I used to dress up my dogs for halloween. That was before I met BJ. When he saw a picture of my dogs in their costumes (One year they were a cowboy and a cowgirl and it was HILARIOUS) he said he wasn’t sure if he wanted to date me anymore.
thats awesome!
