There just isnt’ enough going on in my life to come up with a creative post.  I mean, I guess I could try making something up… but I’m just not feeling it.

I’m still around.  Things are chugging along over here, all hunky dory and stuff and junk.

So, when Blue posted this meme today, I thought I would finally break my unintended blogging silence.

Y’all are thrilled, eh?  Gooooood.

1. Wrapping paper or gift bags?
It totally depends on the present, what I have left over in my closet, and if Elizabeth is wrapping my gifts or not…

2. Real tree or Artificial?
Artificial.  I don’t have a problem with real trees,  but I don’t want all that work involved with them.  Maybe if Tom hadn’t of gotten hurt, I’d have a real tree so he could mess with it.

3. When do you put up the tree?
When I feel like it.  Truly.  Sometimes its right after Thanksgiving.  Sometimes its closer to Christmas.  Eh, whatever.

4. When do you take the tree down?
Whenever I feel like it.  Last year it stayed up a long time.  Finally, my cousin and roommate had pity on me and took it all down… I think it was in early February.

5. Do you like eggnog?
Actually, yes.  It took me forever to try it, though, cuz… ‘eggnog’ just doesn’t sound appealing.

6. Favorite gift received as a child?
I really just liked the idea of giving and receiving gifts, honestly.  But, if I had to say one, I’d say my first cabbage patch kid, right after they first came out.  I wasn’t expecting to get one, because I knew they were expensive and nearly impossible to find.

7. Hardest person to buy for?
The parents, I’d say.  Between Tom’s folks and my mom, they buy what they need when they need it.  So, its hard to think of something great to get them.

8. Easiest person to buy for?
My sister, Angie, and my best friend Elizabeth.  I have a hard time choosing the one or two items that I’m going to get them.  If money grew on trees, I’d buy them each the world.

9. Do you have a nativity scene?
Actually, no.  We had one growing up that my dad made… in some class in school…?  We’re not really religious in this house, but I wouldn’t object to having one.

10. Mail or email Christmas cards?
Mail.  Of course, I don’t really do either.  I bought pretty paper to write holiday letters on this year… and then realized that I didn’t have enough information to fill up a piece of paper to make it worth spending the money on the stamps… so, the pretty paper sits here.  Maybe next year.

11. Worst Christmas gift you ever received?
Aw, heck.  I just don’t know.  I mean, it really makes me happy just to receive a present… just to know that I was in someone’s thoughts when they picked that item out for me.

12. Favorite Christmas Movie?
White Christmas.  I have to watch it every year.  I blame my mother.  Which, by the way, White Christmas is not yet On Demand through my cable company, and I’m upset.  There aren’t any Christmas movies listed yet.  When are they going to air them?  After Valentine’s Day?!

13. When do you start shopping for Christmas?
As soon as I get motivated.  Normally right around Thanksgiving.  But, now that I do 99% of my shopping online, I normally get it all done in a day or two maximum.

14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present?
Probably.  But, not that I can think of off the top of my head.

15. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas?
food.  end of story.

16. Lights on the tree?
our lights on our tree are white.

17. Favorite Christmas song?
I’ll tell you which one its not… that stupid Italian Donkey one… heehaw, heehaw!  OMG!  Make it STOP!!

18. Travel at Christmas or stay home?
We stay close to home.  Tom’s and my family live within driving distance to us.  Since most of our families houses are not wheelchair accessible, most of them end up over here.  We do go to Tom’s dad’s every Christmas eve, since his house is accessible.

19. Can you name all of Santa’s reindeer?
Doc, sleepy, bashful… oh, wait, uhm.  Yes, I can – but only if I sing the song.  “You know Dasher and Dancer and Prancer and Vixon… Comet and Cupid and Donner and Blitzen… but do you recaaaaall, the most famous reindeer of alllllll….. Rudolph the red nose reindeer!”

20. Angel on the tree top or a star?
This is the first year we’ve had a tree topper in a long long time.  We bought a cheap one our first Christmas together, but it quickly went missing.  I bought an Angel this year that technically isn’t a tree topper.  But, you wouldn’t know it if I hadn’t told you.

21. Open the presents Christmas Eve or morning?
Christmas morning when I was a child.  Now, it depends on what day everyone can get together.

22. Most annoying thing about this time of the year?
Lack of money

23. Favorite ornament theme or color?
Our tree decorations are mostly silver and purple, with a sprinkle of miscellaneous ones we get each year.

24. Favorite for Christmas dinner?
One spent with good company and conversation

25. What do you want for Christmas?

My credit card paid off! LOL!
