I think I might be back!

Tom’s home health nurse had an extra tower sitting at her house.  So, now I’m using it until mine gets fixed.

Yipee!!

My computer is still very much broken.  Its not even attempting to turn on… so, I’m hoping its only the power source that is busted.  Even though, is it worth it for me to spend the money on getting such an old computer fixed?  (By old, I mean 10 years or so…)

Thankfully, Tom had gotten me an external hard drive for my birthday in August.  At the time I thought it was a foolish purchase, but stuck all my photos, music and family tree stuff on there.  Thank God!  Cuz, otherwise, (depending on the cost of fixing my computer), it might of all been stuck in my broken computer forever.

Anyways - I’ve been a knitting fool since there’s only one computer to play with.  I’ve knitted 6 purses so far!!  I don’t know what I need with 6 purses… but, whatever.

I’m still looking for someone to volunteer their perfectly good but not needed computer tower to me to permanently borrow…  it hasn’t happened.

  • I dusted the bedroom.
  • And allllll the nik naks in the bedroom.
  • I think I’m allergic to dust.
  • Maybe I’m just allergic to cleaning.
  • I organized my desk.
  • FINALLY.
  • I didn’t mess with the lower shelves on the desk, though.
  • Shut up about it.
  • No, really. Shut up about it.
  • I switched the calendar on my desk to November 3, because I suck at remembering to flip it and didn’t want it to be stuck on April for the party.
  • I cut in the living room wall last night, so I could finish painting it today.
  • I don’t have any roller naps.
  • I cannot finish painting the living room wall without a roller nap.
  • Is is spelled ‘nap’ or ‘knap’?
  • I think the blower motor on my furnace won’t turn off.
  • It got down to 38 degrees last night.
  • That’s 3.3 degrees for you, Blue.
  • We have to find a way to store all the plants inside and still have room for the benefit.
  • That should be interesting.
  • For only wearing 4 different pairs of shoes, I have a lot of other shoes hanging around.
  • I tried on my bridesmaid dress last night.
  • It fits, thank God!
  • I’m scattered.
  • I’m done.

Ooooh, you want a new picture of the desk?

Okay. Calm down.

Someone has requested to see my desktop.

There for a moment, I thought she was asking to see my desk

My desktop is much cleaner than my desk, even when my desk is at its height of its cleanliness.

I have no shame in showing my desktop.  In fact, I rather enjoy it.  You see, I took that photo, and it ain’t so shabby if I do say so myself.

I’m curious to see Avitable’s, Blue’s and Not A Granny’s though!

Cable is so much faster than satellite.

Helped paint most of the nursery for Trish tonight. There’s more to do, but we lost motivation. It was getting late, anyhow.

Super tired. Going to bed early tonight.

We’re switching our internet provider on Tuesday. I’m excited about this for a couple of reasons:

1 - My credit card won’t get hit every month with the bill - which means I would be more able to make a dent in my outstanding balance. (It’s good logic - hopefully it’ll really happen!)

2 - Hopefully the internet will not be as finicky, making our ability to connect during rain storms more possible.

3 - Technically, the new service will be faster. And, hopefully, it will be a steady speed. The provider we use right now slows down and speeds up more than an inexperienced driver trying to maintain the speed limit.

We’re going to give our old set up to Tom’s older sister. She’s connected with dial up right now. She’s in the same boat that we were in a couple years ago, the only options are dial up or satellite.

Although I can’t wait to get rid of my satellite access, I would definitely rather have it than dial up!

Believe it or not, our flipping internet connection is being completely finicky. And, in the process of trying to identify why our connection is being a bigger pain in the butt than normal, I think I accidentally locked our router so Tom cannot wirelessly connect. Which means, Tom is really happy with me (note the sarcasm there, please). And, I know nothing about routers, connectivity and all that crap… well, obviously I know enough to ‘lock’ it. (We’re having a friend come look at it on Tuesday. Oh, and don’t suggest an ethernet cord, cuz… well, we don’t have one handy.)

So, Tom asked me to tell you that he intended to blog tonight, but cannot because his girlfriend is stupid. Uhm, that’s not a direct quote.

UPDATE: I am stupid. Our printer was hooked up with an ethernet cord, which obviously I can disconnect and hook up to Tom’s computer. Of course, I now have a cord across my bedroom at about waist level that I’m sure I’m going to forget about and try to walk through, dragging either Tom’s laptop or the router with me… But, I told Tom that I would only hook up his laptop if he promised to blog tonight. So, there better be an entry before we go to bed tonight, otherwise I’m pulling the cord!

Anyways - I still can’t hear out of my ear. I’ve pulled on my earlobe more today than Carol Burnett has in her whole television career! I wish I could say that it has helped.

A whole bunch of Tom’s family came to visit today before heading out of town again. They had come up for Tom’s older sister’s wedding, but made a point to stop by and see us since we weren’t able to attend the celebration. It was a beautiful day for the visit, and we greatly enjoyed the company.

Whelp, I guess I should work on getting my car inspected and licensed. I don’t think if any cops pull me over for expired tags would buy my sob story about my ear infection…

It is a good sob story, though, I promise. Especially when I get the bill!
