And, I highjacked Trish’s blog too.

Not that I had anything interesting to say over there either.

But, you know…

Third times a charm.

Oh yes. I’m talking about the ER.

Now I have developed Bell’s Palsy.

I had Dona (Tom’s mom) take me to the ER tonight. I was concerned that I might of had a stroke. Looking back on it now, I should of known better. But, you know, the situation freaks you out at first.

I had noticed my eye was really dry yesterday. Tonight, I was showing Tom how interesting it was that I couldn’t wink properly. I thought it was because the medication I was on had dried out my eye completely. I didn’t freak out until I was laughing at my lack of ability to wink, and Tom noticed the right side of my mouth wasn’t moving either.

Yeah, that’s when the panic attack set in.

Anyway - I am home. This is supposed to sort itself out in a week or so. Until then, I’m supposed to tape my eye closed.

There are more medications that I must figure out how to purchase. But, for now, sleep….

Argh, matey! I’m a pirate! (Oh, c’mon, you were thinking it!)

Saturday, Tom’s friend called and asked us if we wanted to go hang out at the lake. Tom was all about it, so we loaded up in the van and headed out.

Once we got to our designated location and unloaded, we decided to cut through the uncut grass to get lakeside.

Did anyone tell you that the ticks are really bad this year? Well, they are. REALLY.BAD.

After hanging out at the waters edge, we head back toward the van and proceed to de-tick for approximately 15 minutes. Tom and I each had one embedded on us. (I made sure to pull their stupid heads out.) I hate ticks. Hate them. HATE.

Sunday, I went over to Tom’s mom’s to help her and Trish clean out the room which will be for the baby. Time really seemed to fly over there, but I guess it took us about 5 hours to clear out the room. I hope I’m able to help paint, too! I love to see a room come together.

Hopefully I’ll be able to get over there next weekend also to help get everything else done for them.

I’m really tired and scattered today. Interestingly enough, I’m not sore though.

Believe it or not, our flipping internet connection is being completely finicky. And, in the process of trying to identify why our connection is being a bigger pain in the butt than normal, I think I accidentally locked our router so Tom cannot wirelessly connect. Which means, Tom is really happy with me (note the sarcasm there, please). And, I know nothing about routers, connectivity and all that crap… well, obviously I know enough to ‘lock’ it. (We’re having a friend come look at it on Tuesday. Oh, and don’t suggest an ethernet cord, cuz… well, we don’t have one handy.)

So, Tom asked me to tell you that he intended to blog tonight, but cannot because his girlfriend is stupid. Uhm, that’s not a direct quote.

UPDATE: I am stupid. Our printer was hooked up with an ethernet cord, which obviously I can disconnect and hook up to Tom’s computer. Of course, I now have a cord across my bedroom at about waist level that I’m sure I’m going to forget about and try to walk through, dragging either Tom’s laptop or the router with me… But, I told Tom that I would only hook up his laptop if he promised to blog tonight. So, there better be an entry before we go to bed tonight, otherwise I’m pulling the cord!

Anyways - I still can’t hear out of my ear. I’ve pulled on my earlobe more today than Carol Burnett has in her whole television career! I wish I could say that it has helped.

A whole bunch of Tom’s family came to visit today before heading out of town again. They had come up for Tom’s older sister’s wedding, but made a point to stop by and see us since we weren’t able to attend the celebration. It was a beautiful day for the visit, and we greatly enjoyed the company.

Whelp, I guess I should work on getting my car inspected and licensed. I don’t think if any cops pull me over for expired tags would buy my sob story about my ear infection…

It is a good sob story, though, I promise. Especially when I get the bill!

For Tom’s family while they’re in Oklahoma.

That’s all for now.

*** UPDATE ***

Tom’s sister is in the hospital due to a grand maul seizure.

She is doing alright.

Tom got to speak with her for a couple of minutes tonight.

We’d love to be able to get down to see her, but its just not possible without doing more damage to Tom’s pressure wounds.

Continued good thoughts appreciated.

*** ANOTHER UPDATE ***

Trish wrote up this experiance on her blog, if you’re really wanting to know more about it.

Tom’s mom is coming over tonight so I can run and get one of Tom’s Rx filled before we run out.

Thank goodness Tom’s mom lives close and has a somewhat flexible schedule.

No real news on Paul. I don’t think he’ll be home before Tuesday at the soonest, since the doctors still aren’t sure what they want to do. By the time they figure it out, it’ll be too late to start anything… since nothing major gets done on the weekends.

That’s all I know for now.

I guess I have different font options since I reverted back to the ‘classic template’ for blogger - I don’t remember having them before. Or maybe that’s some perk that comes with this template. Heck if I know. I’m not going to mess with it too much, though, cuz it just ain’t worth my time. But, it is intriguing.

By switching to the ‘classic template’, though, there are some things that I’ve misplaced. Nothing major. Nothing important, either. So, I probably won’t be adding that stuff back any time soon.

The only thing that I do miss is the ‘read more’ option that I had coded into my old layout. Yeah, I have no idea how to put it into this template. So, I’m not messing with it. (For now anyhow.)

And, of course, its now technically Wednesday.

So, its time for your Way Back Wednesday fix.

(C’mon. Humor me.)
