Everything went off without a hitch, thank goodness.  Our wonderful friends started filling in and out all night long, keeping me very busy playing hostess.  We had a stage set up in the back yard for the bands to play, and had our first (and only) noise complaint by 3:30 PM.  When the Sheriff came by, I could tell that he was not happy to be there, but had to do his job.

I would say that we had a constant 40 - 50 people through the party, with at least another 50 - 75 filtering throughout the day.  We made a decent little bit of cash, and now have to figure out the most responsible way to use it.  Obviously, we’re trying to figure out the best shower chair option for Tom first.  Then, if their is any left over, it’ll probably go towards filling our propane tank.

There are some pictures up on facebook and myspace, if you’re interested in checking them out.

  • I dusted the bedroom.
  • And allllll the nik naks in the bedroom.
  • I think I’m allergic to dust.
  • Maybe I’m just allergic to cleaning.
  • I organized my desk.
  • FINALLY.
  • I didn’t mess with the lower shelves on the desk, though.
  • Shut up about it.
  • No, really. Shut up about it.
  • I switched the calendar on my desk to November 3, because I suck at remembering to flip it and didn’t want it to be stuck on April for the party.
  • I cut in the living room wall last night, so I could finish painting it today.
  • I don’t have any roller naps.
  • I cannot finish painting the living room wall without a roller nap.
  • Is is spelled ‘nap’ or ‘knap’?
  • I think the blower motor on my furnace won’t turn off.
  • It got down to 38 degrees last night.
  • That’s 3.3 degrees for you, Blue.
  • We have to find a way to store all the plants inside and still have room for the benefit.
  • That should be interesting.
  • For only wearing 4 different pairs of shoes, I have a lot of other shoes hanging around.
  • I tried on my bridesmaid dress last night.
  • It fits, thank God!
  • I’m scattered.
  • I’m done.

Ooooh, you want a new picture of the desk?

Okay. Calm down.

99.99% done.

Photos here.

I <3 my bathroom. I think I might move into it.

PS - Blue gave me an award (in the lower sidebar).  She thinks I’m perfect.  Well, okay… she thinks this post is perfect.   Isn’t that so sweet of her!  Thanks, Blue!

Do you hear that?  That’s the sound of me being able to breathe without gasping, sniffling or coughing up a lung.

Its been nearly a week that I was sick.  That absolutely sucked.

Not only because it seemed like I would never feel better,  but because I missed all the brand spankin’ new baby stuff.  I hope she still has the ‘new baby smell‘.   You know, like that ‘new car smell’…

I hope to go see them tomorrow after they get home.  I will be bringing my camera, of course!

And, pass that, I’ve literally been in bed for close to a week.  Ain’t nothin’ worth posting about otherwise.  So, I’m outta here.

I totally put a new battery in my car by myself. I’m like, all mechanically inclined, and stuff and junk.

Of course, it helped that my car was at my parent’s house so I had access to every tool imaginable. There was no need to search for anything. It was all right there at my fingertips.

But, I still did it. By myself. In million degree temperatures. Sweating like a stuck pig*.

My car started and made it home, so I’m assuming I did it correctly.

We’ll find out eventually, I guess.

Pee Ess - I don’t know how a stuck pig sweats, so don’t ask me.

I totally just cleaned my fridge.

Yes.

Honest to God.

The inside of my fridge is like brand effin’ new.

Makes me wonder why I don’t clean more often.

Don’t spoil the moment, Sheila!

Enjoy the clean fridge!

WHOO-HOO!
