The other day I was complaining to Tom about all the junk that has accumulated in our house. The guest room is not immediately usable - if someone were to come to stay without some warning, they’d be sleeping on the couch! The bedroom is starting to overflow also. Tom’s wheelchair becomes storage for some small boxes and clothing until he decides to get up, then that pile gets transfered onto my bed.
Needless to say, storage is an issue.
Well, let me rephrase a little: We have too much crap. We are pack rats. I am not an organized person by nature. All this added into a house with minimal storage (no basement, no attic and no garage) is an issue.
We do have a shed, though.
And, when we moved in here, we promptly filled up the shed (in a haphazard way) with junk. When I say ‘filled’, I mean ‘mostly shoved in and hoping it won’t fall over on someone’.
Tom and Paul have been discussing the Great Shed Rearrange since we moved in.
Well, today Paul decided to empty the shed.
Without telling us.
Which is a mixed blessing.
I’m thankful that its a nice day, therefore Tom will be able to sit out there and supervise it all. Yet, I was not in the mindset to take on this task today.
I think I’m going to play the “Its not my stuff” card on this project!

I really have absolutely nothing to talk about.
At all.
I know I just did a meme, but I’m bored.
Here’s another:

I’m tired of trying to think of titles that go along with my posts…
- My furnace stopped working today. So, after looking it over and knowing I had no idea what I was looking at, I had to call a service man… on a weekend. If there was any way that I thought I could of held out until tomorrow, I would of done it. But, its been hovering around 5 degrees at night - and there is no way that Tom’s body can cope with that. Anyhow, it cost me $210 for him to clean a wire which was hindering my furnaces ability to register to turn on… Great.
- I worked more this last week at my part time job than I have all winter, it feels. Ironically, it’ll all go towards the credit card bill that I charged the furnace repairs on. Yay.
- I literally haven’t done much this week at all, minus going to work. I barely got over to my mom’s on Sunday night, and didn’t stay very long at all. I was supposed to go see my Grandma this week, but didn’t manage to get out of the house to do it. I’m going to see about stopping by her work on Tuesday to see if we can match schedules later in the week.
- My cousin’s fiance is having twins in … April? One boy and one girl. My family is having a shower for her on Sunday. If anyone has any baby stuff they want to give to someone who could use them, ship ‘em to me and I’ll pass them on.
- Tom has posted twice on his blog within a week, I think.
- My latest addiction is checking Craigslist nearly daily. I’m not looking for anything, and haven’t gotten anything. But, I don’t want to miss out… you know what I mean? I’m hopeless.
- I haven’t been blogging much, obviously. But, unless you want to hear about my watching What Not To Wear, Rock of Love 2 or Scott Baio is 46 and Pregnant, you probably aren’t wanting me to blog right now. (I don’t know why I’m addicted to these shows!!)

I’ve been working on Elizabeth’s wedding program in Photoshop. The font seems really pixelated, and its driving me nuts. I don’t quite know how to fix the issue. I’m going to try some different fonts later and see if that’ll help the problem.
My sister has gone and decided to get her tonsils taken out on Tuesday. She has requested access to my DVD collection, which is neither extensive or impressive. But, its a little different selection than her own.
I still have not taken down my Christmas tree. I have no excuse except that the storage boxes were outside in the shed, and its been freeeeeezing here. Therefore, I didn’t want to have to go get the boxes.
Its supposed to be 60 degrees here today. So, I should really get those boxes out of the shed - pronto.
We may possibly have a guest towards the end of January for about a week or so. This would be really nice for Tom and Paul both.
As soon as my mom picks out what color she wants her bedroom painted, I’m going to help with all that fun stuff. She says its my fault because I bought her a new bed set… I’ll take the blame. No problem.
I’m waiting impatiently for my W-2’s. I’ve owed money the past two years. I’m wanting to see what the damage will be for this year.
I’ve yet to pay my personal property tax (on the car and van) yet, either. I’m praying for a nice tax return to take care of the personal property tax. It won’t happen, I’m sure. Although it sucks, I’m very aware that the penalties involved in late personal property tax are not extensive… so, if they must be paid late, so be it.
I’ve literally had nothing to talk about for the longest time now. I’ve really tried hard on this post, working my brain for something to post about…
I hope you’re mildly satisfied.

I realize that it’s Wednesday. I realize that I’ve not blogged lately. I realize that you probably haven’t been checking my site 23908 times a day waiting for some form of post.
But, just in case you have been totally stalking me (because I can’t even be bothered to look at my stats), this is my lame update.
I need to clean my house. STILL.
If there is anyone in western Missouri / eastern Kansas that would like to come do this, out of the kindness of their hearts, please let me know.
I’m just soooooo not motivated to dust ceiling fans and nik naks. Let alone vacuuming under furniture and scrubbing the floors.
Especially by myself.
Ugh.

- Turns out that Tom’s wonderful shower chair that was purchased for him is too small. Who knew it was such a curse to be over 6 feet tall?! So, now I have to figure out how to return the one we have and get one that he can sit in without his feet dragging on the floor, without costing extra cash. It sure would be great if that were a simple task, but I know it won’t be.
- Our power went out during the beautiful, clear skied day. For some reason, it’ll go out on gorgeous days… but we’ve not really had it go out due to weather. I don’t get it. The whole neighborhood was out for about an hour. Which really sucked because Tom’s air mattress that helps prevent pressure sores is powered by electricity. As soon as it looses power, it immediately begins to deflate. So, instead of leaving Tom’s sensitive skin pushed against the wire framing of the bed, I quickly got Tom dressed and up in his chair. Of course, not even 15 minutes after getting Tom up, the power comes back on. Go figure.
- I’ve decided that November 3rd is the best date to sneak in a fund raiser here at the house before next year. I think we’ve got 3 bands that have volunteered to play a little while. I’m going to have to ask some people to bring a finger food, also. I plan on finding someone to lend me money to get a keg, and request that the guests donate a couple bucks each to pay it back. Maybe we’ll be able to raise enough money to pay back the guys that opened the credit card to make Tom’s bathroom accessible.
- I still have to paint the bathroom. Elizabeth is coming over tomorrow night.
- I have yet to start cleaning, although Paul has, to a degree… thank God.
- We’re supposed to go to a routine doctors appointment tomorrow morning, but I’ve had to stay up ridiculously late trying to finish Tom’s program. I doubt we’ll make it to the appointment tomorrow. Its nearly 4 AM. A smidge late in the night, if you ask me. No, we didn’t start late… its just being difficult.
- (If you don’t know what the ‘program’ is, be thankful. And don’t ask.)
- We had nachos tonight for dinner and they were wonderful. I haven’t had them in forever!
- I’m busy every Saturday until the week after Thanksgiving. I’m supposed to work on Saturdays. I’ll have to figure out how to manage that pretty quickly! I might have to start going in the morning. *gasp*
- I’m tired and I still can’t go to sleep yet…

- I’m bored.
- I’ve really got nothing to post about.
- The bathroom isn’t quite finished yet.
- I promise to show y’all as soon as it is done.
- I designed Not A Granny’s blog for her.
- It was fun.
- I really just wanted to post to push The Story off the top of my blog.
- We watched the movie DeJa Vu today.
- We watched the movie DeJa Vu today.
- It was good.
- The girls have finally scheduled their night on the town.
- I hope I have money by then.
- I just recently bounced some checks.
- It sucked.
- I, obviously, had no intentions to bounce any checks.
- I’m still bored.
- I still have nothing to post about.
- I guess I’m done.
- Someone, entertain me.
