a poor attempt:

November 11th, 2007

  • I’ve not received any socks from the Great Sock Exchange 2007.
  • I did receive a pair of socks from Miss Ann.
  • It was not entirely Great Sock Exchange related.
  • Blue is co-hosting on BlogTalkRadio tonight.
  • I cannot figure out how to listen to this show to save my life.
  • I will attempt to listen to the archives later.
  • I’m really tired of football season already.
  • Especially when my team sucks.
  • I’m kind of bored with Nascar too.
  • I think I’m going to take a nap.
  • My earphones hurt my ears.
  • All of my Christmas crap is piled up in the guest room.
  • I was really excited about Christmas about 2 weeks ago.
  • Now I’m freaking out about money again.
  • I desperately need a tanning package so as to not be ghostly white for Elizabeth’s wedding in April.
  • The bridesmaids dress is strapless.
  • I always wear sleeves.
  • Hence the reason I need a tan.
  • Definitely looking like a farmer here.
  • Has anyone used one of those spray on tans?  Are they worth it?  How much do they cost?
  • Maybe this would be the better route for me?
  • I’ve got no idea.
  • I still have no idea how I’m going to pay to fill the propane tank.
  • I’m tired of having the same issues.
  • I’m going to take a nap now.
  • Or at least stare mindlessly at the television.
  • Blah.

Fathead

September 20th, 2006

Tom’s a fathead.

I mean, Tom got a fathead.

Doesn’t sound like proper English, does it?

It is.

I promise.

Check out the before and after on my flickr account.

Hopefully then you’ll understand.

13 laps

July 23rd, 2006

Thats how much time I have until the race is over, therefore when Tom wants to get out of bed.

So, I thought I would drop a quick line in the process of Tom cussing because Matt Kennseth isn’t doing as well as Tom had hoped.

Heather made it here and home safely. We didn’t do anything too eventful, but I think she had a good time. I had lots fun! Especially with our impromptu scavenger hunt (which Angie will post about sometime).

We went to see Grandma’s new house while Heather was here, also. I think it will work perfectly for her. I sure hope she’s happy there, which I think she will be.

I can’t wait to find enough extra cash lying around to make it down to Oklahoma. Of course, I’d also have to plan carefully as to make sure Tom was taken care of while I was gone.

I think, after I get back from work, I’m going to start working on my kitchen curtains. I have this picture in my head of how I want them to look… I just hope it translates well! I know how to sew, I just don’t do it often. I might post a photo after I get them done and put up, just to entertain you all. I’m sure your life would not be complete without knowing what my kitchen curtains look like. Right?

Tom’s birthday is coming up soon, and I’m pondering what to get him. Of course, also how I’m going to afford anything. Gotta love credit cards, right?!

Oh, 3 laps left. Might as well start getting ready to get Tom out of bed!

Whatever ;)

February 2nd, 2006

I spent as much time typing out all my notes from this past Saturday’s meeting as I did when I actually held the meeting (did that make sense?). Point being - I typed 3.5 hours worth of notes out for those who didn’t bother to attend my meeting (and those who were excused, of course). I feel a little bitter about this. This is probably 10 hours worth of my time spent on this stuff, that I already know, that probably didn’t even sink into their skulls.

Anyhow, my phone started ringing at 9 am today. Which isn’t bad, unless you went to sleep at 5 am. I think it truly rang once an hour (which I answered EACH time) until I decided I couldn’t handle it anymore and got out of bed at noon. I really regret my sleeping pattern being so messed up. But, I’m a night owl.. it’s in my blood. I hate seeing anything before 9 am for sure. Even if I manage to get to sleep at a ‘real person’s’ bed time (say, 10 pm).

We’re attempting to get all of Cait’s wedding sorted out. Both Elizabeth’s and my list of things to do are getting shorter, which we’re thankful for. I think all I have left is the wedding cake - which I should probably do a trial run on. Not that the boys will mind too much, being able to taste test it. Thank goodness we decided on something elegant (read: simple). I really think that it will look marvelous - the picture in my head looks that way at least.

Doctor tomorrow (er, later today). Wound nurse on Friday. Cait’s bridal shower and bachelorette party Saturday. Work on Sunday. Then back to Monday again. Time moves to quickly sometimes.

And, for another dramatic change of subject, we’re already counting down to Nascar. Thank goodness for us viewers the drivers don’t have much of an off season. I wonder how much of their week is devoted to preparing for the race… Hm. Interesting.
