I really do feel bad for not posting with any form of regularity.  I even feel worse knowing that I do sit at my computer every day and surf the ‘net, and still don’t post.  I’ve gone so far as to open my blog’s dashboard nearly every other day and stare at the blank screen, hoping something will pop out of my little head that is worth writing about.

Alas (yes, I really just said ‘alas’) I’ve got nothing but a hodge podge of stuffs.

Wanna hear about it?

Okie dokie.

- I have cleaned my desk from top to bottom.  And, I mean cleaned.  Like, everything was taken out, dusted off, gone through and redistributed in a neat fashion.  I bought shelves for all the collectibles that have been…. uh, collected… to help space out the clutter which was the top of my desk.  Its all very surreal.  Having an organized desk is something so rare in my life, so when it happens, its almost as satisfying as buying a new car or something.  Do you understand what I mean?

- My younger cat has taken to hissing and swiping at my older cat here recently.  Its not consistent.  But, it is mainly unprovoked.  I don’t understand what the deal is… nothing has changed otherwise (to the best of my knowledge).  They’re both indoor cats, and have been all their lives, and they’ve been raised together since they were old enough to leave their mothers.  We’ve had them for 6 years or so?  I’ve taken to calling the younger, moodier one a ‘crotchety old man’.  Cuz, apparently its the truth now.

- I got two inches cut off my hair yesterday.  Its the first time in a long long time that I’ve kept my short hair cut after chopping off enough to donate to Locks of Love.  I almost feel guilty for keeping it short this time.  Yet, I’m sure I’ll let it grow back out again, and start the rotation over again.

- We’re having a party in a couple of weeks.  I think we’re going officially call it an annual event to have a party at our house every year in the beginning of Autumn.  We’ve pretty much done it every year since Tom’s gotten hurt anyhow, might as well just stick with it.  You know, if it ain’t broke…

- My sister might be putting in a bid on a house today.  She’s been wanting to buy a house for two years now.  And, she’s actually found one that meets most of her criteria.  I went to see it yesterday and I think its definitely worth the paperwork.  I hope she gets it, if its really the one she wants.

- I bought the paint to change the color of the trim on my house, finally.  It was a rosey pink color, which never really appealed to me.  It wasn’t horrible, hence the reason I waited so long to actually purchase the new paint.  Now its a beautiful forresty green color, which I love.  Of course, forresty green is my favorite color, in case you didn’t know.

Meh, I think I’m over attempting to post something for now.  I’ve been distracted with my dwindling supply of Diet Coke and how to go about fixing this delimma without leaving my house.  Anyone have any suggestions?

I know its been a while.

It seems that when I have something worth posting about, its because I’m super busy.  And, then, because I am super busy, I don’t have time to post.

Then, by the time I have a moment to actually string words together here, I don’t have any desire to write out all the crazy details of the recent events.

Although I feel like I’m cheating to make a list, that’s what’s going to happen again.  Maybe someday I might write a real post, with real paragraphs and real direction.

Don’t hold your breathe though!

- I was asked by Tom’s cousin to take photos at her wedding this past Saturday.  I always am honored yet terrified when someone asks me to do something like this.  I am not a professional photographer.  I do not have fancy equipment.  And, I never know how to combat the lighting issues that seem to go hand in hand with a wedding ceremony, leaving me to photoshop several photos so they aren’t as dark.  I’ve not yet started this task with the most recent set of photos yet.

- Tom’s niece turned one on the 3rd.  Her birthday party was this past Sunday.  The explosion of pink decorations and the large crowd of people who would never be in the same room except to celebrate Ashlyn’s birthday were both overwhelming, yet perfect.  Of course I have photos of all that as well, but haven’t really sorted through the lot of them yet.  How many photos can you get of a one year old learning that underneith that pretty wrapping paper is something cool to play with?  Well, let me tell you, you can get hundreds.  And, of course, I did.

- I started and finished reading the Twilight series that I had heard the gossip about around the internets.  Of the currently four book series, the story improved with each book, thankfully.  I had found the first book just barely enough to hold my attention to make it through, but if the series had continued along the same predictable tone, I would of lost interest soon.  Thankfully the author seemed to find her footing better for the next three in the series, with the last being very gripping in my opinion.  I had heard rumors that more books were in the future, but then saw somewhere that the collection had been put on hold indefinitely?  I have not even begun to look into this yet to see what the real situation is.

- I purchased two more books yesterday, written by Marie Brennan.  I haven’t even really looked at them yet, but know they are a set.  Hopefully they’ll be worth the read.  I’ll let y’all know.

- My sister’s boyfriend has finally finished his time in the Marines, and has made his way home safely from being overseas.  Hopefully he’ll find a job soon, otherwise my mom may make him a ‘honey-do’ list longer than any list of directions he received while in the military!  Heck, maybe I’ll slip a few things onto the list, also.

And that, my friends, is a quick run down of my time since I’ve last posted.

You’re very welcome.

I hate infomercials.

With a passion.

I can be asleep before an infomercial begins and subconsciously hear the television yapping at me to ‘ORDER NOW!‘ or suggesting I make ‘THREE EASY PAYMENTS!‘ and I cringe.

In my sleep!

I honestly have to change the channel when one comes on.

I believe they are the biggest waste of time evah.

I’ve never seen something on an infomercial and, at two in the morning, thought, “Holy crap, I need that now!”

In fact, I have never ever watched an infomercial that compelled me to reach for the telephone.  Ever.

I will admit that I have bought several items, at the store, that are clearly marked, “as seen on tv’.

Have I seen them on TV?  I doubt it.

Does the big ‘as seen on tv’ signage on the box draw my attention to the item I’m considering purchasing?

No.

Not at all.

Why, you ask?

Because, I HATE INFOMERCIALS!

I do anything within my power to avoid these television time wasters.

And, after giving you this new information to ponder and process, I bid you adieu.

* Well, I don’t care either way.

* Bullets are what you’re getting.

* Except this template doesn’t like bullets.  They don’t show up.

* So, instead you’ll get astricks – which spell check isn’t helping me spell.

* I’ve always hated it when I don’t know how to spell a word and someone says, “Use the dictionary”.  Well, if I knew how to spell the word well enough to look it up in the dictionary, I wouldn’t need the dictionary to spell the word!

* My dad’s headstone has finally been finished and placed.  The main hold up was getting the carvings of the GTOs to look like GTOs.  Otherwise it would of been pointless to put cars on the headstone.

* If you feel the strong desire to look at the headstone, pictures are posted on my sister’s blog.  Oh, you don’t know who my sister is?  Wait, you know who my sister is, but don’t know where her blog is?  Hm.  Sucks to be you.

* Or, you know, you could ask.

* My sister let Tom and I borrow Guitar Hero tonight.  I think our PS2 isn’t going to work since its sooooooo old.  But, Tom held the guitar and should be able to work it for about a half a song before he has to lay it down on his table top to play.

* Anyone have a spare PS2 laying around?

* ‘The Box’ has still not arrived, Blue.  Please give your husband a hard time for me, kthx.

* I finally got the oil in my car changed, which did not make the check engine light go off.  Mark, my dad’s best friend, changed my spark plugs tonight.  That also didn’t make the light go off.  Mark used his fancy schmancy computer hookup thingee to read the error code, which is p1171.  Mass Air Filter, or something.  Mark said he thinks he can fix that.

* The top still doesn’t go down on my convertible.  This makes Tom and I sad.  If the top went down, we’re able to sit Tom in the passenger seat and go for nice drives together.  Its the only time he can see the world around him, since when riding in his wheelchair accessible van his chair sits up too tall to see out the windows.

* I want chocolate.  There is none here.  Send chocolate now plz.

My thumbnails grow slower than my other fingernails.

I know this because the damaged nail beds from when I ripped off my fake fingernails are nearly completely grown out.

Except for my thumbnails.  They’ve only grown out about half way.

BTW, all the hype about severe storms in our area?  No dice.  Which is totally fine by me.  But, if it keeps raining like this, I’m going to have to start building an ark.  Seriously.

I’ve contemplated canceling my doctor’s appointment tomorrow for two reasons.  One: since I’ve made the appointment, my symptoms have lessened.  But, they’ve not completely gone away yet.  Two: if 3498321 tests are ordered, I have to pay for each of them out of pocket, and I’m not super thrilled with that possibility.

Here’s hopin’ that whatever my issue is can be immediately diagnosed.  Even if it is that I am just a hypochondriac!

My newest toy to play around with is my cell phone.  Its the same cell phone I’ve had for some time.  And, I’ve not found some secret function or anything on it.

But, I have figured out the wonder that is sending my cell phone photos to facebook.  If you wanted, you could keep an eye on those photos here.  It makes me want to get a better camera phone, though.  As I have figured this all out, I’ve had to keep from posting 13409123 photos of my cats.  Because, really, here around the house, the only excitement is the cats.  Well, not really, but you catch my drift, right?

Anyhow, I call it an obsession because I think about taking a cell phone picture several times a day so I can upload it here.  Yet, I rarely find something that I feel is worthy of using my alloted monthly pix/text.  (Was that a complete sentence?)

I’ve decided that those people who have a facebook and already pay for unlimited pictures should completely and totally start uploading their cell phone pictures immediately.

Please let me know when you’ve accomplished this.

Thanks.

Don’t you hate it when you go to the grocery store, buy a cart full of food, get home, put it all away and then open your refrigerator door and stare mindlessly into it while trying to figure out what to eat for lunch?

I find it entertaining that postage on the package I mailed today cost as much as the combined total of the items in the box.  By ‘entertaining’, I mean ‘disturbing’.  And, by ‘items’, I mean ‘items’.  (I did that last part just to mess with you.)

My employer has decided that I should finally have a set schedule.  Which has its ups and downs, obviously.  This has just started yesterday, and the jury is still out on their overall opinion on the change.  And, by ‘jury’, I mean ‘me’.

I haven’t figured out my whole Going To Oklahoma idea at all.  I was originally wanting to go for a week, so I could spend time with each person that I wanted to see.  But, I definitely can’t figure out how to manage a week away from my life.  Going for a weekend is kind of hard to manage since I work Saturday and Sunday.  There really isn’t anyone to replace me on those days, either.  And, really, who wants to go visit everyone on a Monday and Tuesday while they’re at work (my normal days off)?

Anyhow, I guess I’m going to go stare in the fridge a little more.  And by ‘stare’, I mean ‘stare’.  And by ‘in the fridge’, I mean ‘at the computer’.

PS – why in the WORLD can I not upload photos to my bloggity bloggy blog?  Its annoying that I have to upload them to photobucket then stick the code in a post.  I know its not hard.  Its just annoying!!  ANNOYING I SAY!

K, bye.
